Country Finance Manager for Humanitarian Org.

Our partner is a leading humanitarian organisation working to offer greater safety to people in conflict- affected communities and the opportunity to rebuild their lives, livelihoods and futures.

They have been working for some years in Nigeria on projects aimed at providing risk education to better understand the nature of conflict in the northern states and improve safety and security for locals and humanitarian agencies working in the region.

They are seeking a Country Finance Manager to support the senior management team and provide strategic and operational financial leadership to the programme. This is a 6 month contract with the possibility of extension (dependent on funding).

Key Deliverables:
Oversight of the financial & management accounting systems and processes

Review existing accounting procedures & controls and development of systems and tools to enhance internal controls, compliance and programme information management.

Develop and manage a complex grant funding proposals & reporting

Support the senior management team in: Developing & monitoring of annual budgets, cashflow forecasts and re-forecasts, ensuring core and programmes costs are properly allocated and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.

Financial oversight of programmes finance, training and mentoring of staff as required.

Person Specification:
Qualified accountant, with experience working in a complex INGO overseas 

Experience in grant proposal development 

Experience in financial planning, monitoring, forecasting and reporting 

Experience of managing a small team 

The total package including salary, relocation & other benefits ranges from £40,000 - £45,000, depending on experience.
