seeks senior-level health specialists for an anticipated USAID-funded health project to expand the use of best practices in HIV/AIDS throughout West Africa. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in lives of people around the world
Long term and short term technical assignments may include the following technical areas:
- HIV/AIDS
- Reproductive Health and family planning
- Maternal, neonatal and child health
- Nutrition
- Tuberculosis
- Health systems
- Health communications
- Monitoring and Evaluation
- Knowledge Management
- Grants Management
We are also looking for long-term senior leadership positions including a Chief and Deputy Chief of Party
Responsibilities include
- Provide overall program direction and technical expertise
- Serve as the project's principal liason with USAID, institutions and client partners
- Provide managerial and technical support to technical specialists
- Supervise project subcomponents, activities, and a diverse professional Staff
Qualifications
- M.P.H., M.D., Ph.D., or equivalent combination of education and work experience in health related field
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in developing countries with a focus in one of the technical area listed above (additional experience may be required for specific positions)
- Experience working in USAID or other donor-funded projects
- Dmonstrated leadership, versatility and intergrity
- Proficiency in English and french preferred
