Heartland Alliance, a US-based NGO, is currently recruiting to fill a position in Abuja Country office for USAID- funded HIV/AIDS program in Nigeria, targeting highly marginalized and most-at risk populations With HIV prevention, care and support services.
Candidates must meet the minimum qualification listed below and must be committed to human rights, regardless of age, ethnicity, class, gender. sexual orientation. gender identity or other social reference. Candidates must be willing to work with diverse' populations in a supportive and accepting manner.
 
Job Title: Strategic Information Officer
 
The Strategic Information Officer will be based in Abuja. The SIO will coordinate program level monitoring, impact evaluation and operational research for Heartland Alliance programs across Nigeria.
 
Qualifications
  • Masters degree MA/MPH/MSc - with significant experience in/knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies;
  • At least 3+ years experience working In the M&E or research field:
  • knowledge of/skill in using/experience using statistical/data management software;
  • fluency in English spoken and written (required)
  • Prior African work and living experience (required)
  • Nigerian Nationals strongly encouraged to apply;
  • Superb writing and editing skills (required):
  • Knowledge of USAID & PEPFER reporting requirements;
  • Training and capacity budding experience:
  • High attention to detail and commitment to producing work of the highest quality. often on short notice:
  • Able to work independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision:
  • Able to live/work in resource-poor and sometimes-insecure environments;
  • Able to travel by public transportation;
  • Highly reliable, motivated and independent.
  • Good sense of humor.
