Vinmar International Lagos is recruiting Oil and Fat Equipment manager

 The Controller manages the accounting and finance functions for Nigeria as well as provides support to the HQ team, providing reporting, analysis and controls of operations in support of achieving company-established objectives.


Responsibilities

  • Oversees and ensure accurate financial reports in timely manner; including financial statements, comment letters and other metrics, KPI and dashboards
  • Conducts a complete business analysis to improve financial reporting and forecasting, stream line processes and develop graduate and undergraduate accountants, managers and controllers
  • Translates foreign currencies and reconciles exchange and intercompany account variances.
  • Works with Internal audit and other department to develop a robust internal control
  • Ensures compliance to Sarbanes Oxley; Liaison for financial and operational audits, including Sarbanes Oxley compliance, testing and work-flow analysis.
  • Prepares forecast, and budgets including development of templates, structures, and information presentation
  • Assists Group Controller, and other department within CFO team as required
  • Assists line and functional managers with internal control of processes and forecasting functions
  • Assists or lead SAP system implementation, as required
  • Prepares presentation for operations review and forecasting, as required
  • Audit functions; Coordinates and prepares operations for audits; federal, state and Maintains successful internal and external audits - Implements and educates on new programs Conducts applicable audits
  • Assist, coordinate or liaison with Tax and Legal department to ensure statutory and legal compliance, as applicable
  • Assist, coordinate or liaison with credit and collection function, as applicable
  • Assist, coordinate or liaison with Treasury to manage Foreign Exchange risk
  • Arranges, coordinates and/or conducts training for policies and processes
  • Prepares, communicates, distributes bulletins, circulars, updates
  • Provides instruction, mentors, guides, provides instruction to other accounting team members locally or overseas
