A reputable Hospital in Abuja seeks to fill the abve position with suitable and qualified persons.
Job Brief:
  • The medical officer in- charge is pivotal in ensuring that the overall business operations of the clinic run smoothly and professionally.
Job Description:
  • To carry out patient consultation which entails detailed history taking and examination with the recommendation of appropriate investigation and the review of all these with the purpose of prescribing relevant effective and efficacious medication.
  • Ensure that all medical records patients are current, accurate and well maintained
  • Ensure compliance with current healthcare regulations, medical laws and ethics
  • Oversee registration of patients, supervise medical coding and billing
  • Ensure patient satisfaction by attending to patients inquiries and complaints
  • Perform data entry and processing.
  • To lead the healthcare team, comprised of nurses, in the process of carrying out health-related activities.
  • To ensure patients’ prescriptions are filled out legibly in case note, billing sheet and prescription sheets.
  • Proper documentation of details of all procedures and treatments carried out on patients
  • Carrying out pre-employment exercise on clients and health education
  • To serve as Liason officer for the secondary health providers, monitoring of patients
  • on admission and vetting/negotiating of all Medical bills incurred by Transcorp
  • Staff/dependants during referrals
  • Constantly Liasing with the Medical Director and Chief Operating Officer concerning all issues relating to the management of the clinic.
  • Collaborate with the administrative officer to achieve discipline and implementation of organizational policy amongst the staff of the clinic
  • Facilitate team efficiency, by overseeing and ensure that all laid down processes, procedures and standards of Avon are strictly adhered to
  • Ensure that all requests for medical and office supplies are properly scrutinized before forwarding request to Lagos
  • Keep track of equipment, devices and manage inventory records
  • Generation of weekly reports and forward to the appropriate quarters before the close of business on Fridays.
  • Monitor and evaluate team members performance
  • Responsible for enforcing facility cleaning, hygiene, safety and maintenance
  • Ensure removal of waste medical waste in compliance with the regulatory requirement
  • Liaise with the management of Hilton clinic, in resolving identified issues whilst escalating irreconcilable differences to appropriate personnel within the Avon framework
  • Identify and communicate regulatory risk universe
  • Initiate and drive other business opportunities in and around clinic operations
  • To create a monthly newsletter and liaise quarterly with Hilton Management.

  • Good communication skills as shown by a good relationship with Hilton Management and patients
  • Prompt delivery on assigned tasks such as report generation
  • Good understanding of HMO business

Educational Requirement:
  • MBBS (Medical Bachelor of Science)
