Role: Lead Production Technologist [Full – Time].

Role Summary:

In the role of Lead Production Technologist, the Candidate will be sharing knowledge and collaborating with many top specialists in implementing solutions to enhance production and optimize the Well stock. The Lead Production Technologist role is an operational
 position that gives broad insight into Well Service and Reservoir management operations. In this role within the Production Engineering Team, the candidate will have the opportunity of being a focal point for Production Technology in assigned Assets/Fields and will be responsible for managing the Wells and Reservoirs potentials, Technical Limits, operating envelopes and Well Integrity of the Well stock assigned to him.

The role’s responsibility will span:
• Understand and solve basic well problems no guidance.
• Solve complex well problems with little supervision or guidance from Supervisor or more experienced engineers.
• Use Prosper to model and calibrate wells, run prediction, and run diagnostics.
• Understand well completion basics and down hole equipment and their functions and diagnosis of problems.
• Able to run integrated production models including reservoir and pipelines and optimize for production and reserves. Show creativity and innovation in optimizing production.
• Recommend wells for intervention or solutions to increase production.
• Prepare detailed work programs for execution.
• Must be able to supervise intervention work – wireline, coiled tubing, etc.
• Support or supervise field operations by ensuring quality control of well testing and surveillance programs (e.g., BHP, logging, wellhead sampling, measurements, etc.)
• Consistently observe, identify, and recommend optimizations to production facilities for production optimization.
• Generate, supervise and QC flow lift curves for simulation, ensure fit for purpose and flawless curves.
• Provide petroleum engineering support to workover and slickline operations in the field.
• Must be an adherent and promoter of safety practices in operations.
• Good mastery, design, execution, and optimization of artificial lifting including gas lifting and ESP design and diagnosis.
• Must have a good understanding of oil field operations.
• Mentor younger engineers and provide guidance in solving fundamental well problems.
• Able to lead small project team to deliver production engineering input.
• Promoter and adherent of safety practices in the office and field operations.

Qualifications:
• As a Lead Production Technologist, incumbent should have a broad understanding of other E&P disciplines and skills in all key Production technologist specialties.
• A university degree in Engineering or equivalent with 10 years relevant experience, including a minimum of 8 years PT work experience in an operating company.
